Osprey in flight, close up of aberfoyle osprey chick from 2005, osprey calling

Welcome to the Aberfoyle ospreys

The 2008 breeding season is now over but you can see what happened this year by reading our Aberfoyle ospreys blog.

We're still open - why not visit us?

Aberfoyle osprey watching takes place at the David Marshall Lodge visitor centre in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.  At the moment, our live cameras are turned on the squirrel feeders - the squirrels are providing plenty of entertainment for visitors!

We also have a 10-minute video for you to watch which covers the 2007 osprey season.

The visitor centre is a mile north of Aberfoyle on the A821 (Dukes Pass). View a map of where David Marshall Lodge is located (link to an external site).

Opening hours

Open in September and October daily from 10am to 5pm. From November we'll open daily from 10am to 4pm. Telephone 01877 382258 for more details.

Osprey viewing is run in partnership with RSPB Scotland.

Previous seasons

You can read all about what happened last season in the 2007 osprey diary.
