Forestry Commission Scotland is asking members of the public, partner agencies, groups and organisations to offer comment in its new Gaelic Language Plan.
The five year plan (2010 - 2015) sets out how the Commission will promote and use Gaelic in communicating with the public and with key partners.
It looks at a wide range of possibilities including corporate identity, on-site signage, leaflets and publications and the Commission's website.
Bob McIntosh, Director of Forestry Commission Scotland, said:
"Gaelic tells the story of Scotland. The language names many of the features of our landscape. It even draws the sounds of its letters from the names of some of our native trees.
"It is an integral part of Scotland's heritage, national identity and cultural life - and Scotland now needs to tell the story of Gaelic.
"We are pleased to contribute to the country-wide effort to revitalise the language, enhance its status and encourage more people to learn and more people to use Gaelic."

Forestry Commission Scotland's Gaelic Language Plan has been prepared in accordance with statutory criteria set out in the 2005 Act, and is aligned to the National Plan for Gaelic and the Guidance on the Development of Gaelic Language Plans.
