Nightwatch with Gary Fildes

About Nightwatch with Gary Fildes

Join us for a fun night under the stars at the UK's darkest sky observatory. We will be using these nights to act as an introduction to the night sky. We will start the night with a talk on an astronomical subject in our purpose made classroom complete with a log burning stove. Sit in comfort with a warm tea or coffee, and listen to an expert talk and guide you through the universe and how it works!. Learn about concepts such as the creation of the universe and how it may end! You will also have a tour of this research grade facility and see the instruments we use to observe and study this fascinating universe around us. Then of course we will give you all a chance to look through the telescopes at some truly inspiring objects that inhabit our cosmo.

How to get there:

Nightwatch with Gary Fildes starts at Kielder Observatory Lower Car Park in Kielder which is part of Kielder. Kielder is the nearest town or village.
