A circular route running to the north of Glentrool Visitor Centre on forest roads, and returning on quiet back roads. There are some small hills but no big climbs, and surfaces are either on good forest roads or public roads making this route a good family cycle.

From Newton Stewart take A714 signposted to Girvan for eight miles. Take right turn at Bargrennan signposted Galloway Forest Park. Take next right turn just past Glentrool village signpost to Glentrool Visitor Centre.
