About Bruce's stone

A short trail along a craggy hillside with superb views of Loch Trool. The trail leads to Bruce's Stone which commemorates the Battle of Trool.

How to get there:

Bruce's stone can be started from Glentrool Visitor Centre in Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart take A714 signposted to Girvan for eight miles. Take right turn at Bargrennan signposted Galloway Forest Park. Take next right turn just past Glentrool village signpost to Glentrool Visitor Centre.
