Red Trail

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Red Trail

A short easy walk, ideal for younger walkers and the less energetic, through the trees. Let your imagination run as you pass "mirkwood", imagine "Shelob" the giant spider or a posy of orcs riding out of the gloom after a bewildered Bilbo Baggins.

How to get there:

Red Trail can be started from Glentrool Visitor Centre in Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart take A714 signposted to Girvan for eight miles. Take right turn at Bargrennan signposted Galloway Forest Park. Take next right turn just past Glentrool village signpost to Glentrool Visitor Centre.
