How to get there:
Polmaddy Carpark is in Castlemaddy Wood which is part of Galloway Forest Park. Dalry St Johnstown and Carsphairn are the nearest towns or villages.
From Newton Stewart, Take the A712 signposted New Galloway. From New Galloway take the A713 signposted Ayr, Carsphairn., Follow the road to the village of Polmaddy, take the first left opposite the village(there will be a Forest Commission sign) then follow the forest road until you reach the carpark.
