About Bennan Wood
The Bennan wood is near the picturesque village of New Galloway.
This is a lovely wood alongside Loch Ken allowing the visitor superb views across the loch.
The wood has a variety of waymarked trails, from a gentle, easy stroll to a more strenuous ramble through the beautiful and quiet countryside of Galloway.
How to get there:
Bennan Wood is in Galloway Forest Park. New Galloway and Laureiston are the nearest towns or villages.
From Newton Stewart
Take the A712 signposted New Galloway, from new galloway take the A762 signposted Laurieston. the bennan viewpoint carpark is approx. five miles from New Galloway.
